Since their inception 11 years ago, we’ve worked on the Manchester Legal Awards.
It’s a wonderful testament to the region’s legal community that the event – already hugely successful – still continues to grow (number of entries, range of firms and organisations entering, sponsorship opportunities and tickets to the dinner itself).
As the principle marketing partner, we’re responsible for all marketing activity surrounding the event.
Every year we introduce new branding; produce all the marketing collateral; refresh and manage the website, including collating all the entries into judging packs; generate all media coverage; manage all the social media; create and handle all advertising to promote the event. We even produce the table plan, name cards and envelopes used to announce the winners on the big night!
Although the process works like a dream, we never get complacent.
In order to keep things fresh – for entrants and judges alike – this year, we introduced new criteria. Although we reduced the number of questions, we ensured they were more specific in what they asked of entrants. Given that record numbers of entries were received in all 19 categories, it seems this change has gone down rather well.
The sixteen judges (including our very own Ruth Shearn) were kept busy over the festive break, marking the entries. The Manchester Law Society then collated all the scores and drew up a short list of finalists, who will be formally interviewed on Friday 17 January.
