Launching a new tech-focussed business

During our first meeting, Nick explained that his new venture would enable him to pursue his professional and personal passion – advising tech businesses how to grow and develop. Whether by raising finance or making acquisitions, planning for an exit, Nick has a wealth of experience and passion for helping tech business owners who aren’t too sure about their next strategic move.

Having already chosen his company name – X.0 – to appeal directly to his techie audience, Nick asked us to create a visual identity – something that was less ‘business consultant’ and more reflective of the dynamic technology market he was targeting.

After presenting a raft of great concepts – along with the strapline ‘Progress made possible’ to encapsulate his whole offering – a favourite was selected and brand guidelines produced.

Our attention is now focussed on designing and building a website and various marketing collateral.

A savvy businessman, Nick values marketing in the digital age so decided to produce a series of podcasts to give added interest and value to his marketing drive. The plan was for each to feature a tech business owner discussing topics of interest to the sector. With several podcasts produced, Nick was painfully aware that he had no female commenters to interview.

Tapping into our extensive network of contacts, we were able to plug the gap and introduced him to a number of leading female tech entrepreneurs, many of whom expressed their interest in participating in the podcasts.

Once the website and podcasts are complete, our attention will turn to launching X.0 to the tech trade and regional business press. In the meantime, if you know of any tech business owners who aren’t too sure about their next strategic move, you know who to contact!
