Marvin Gaye – I Heard it Through the Grapevine
I love Motown - I could easily fill my entire playlist with Motown tracks but that may be a little boring for non-Motown fans. Marvin Gaye has to be one of the best and most iconic artists from the era. This song is a total classic!
John Legend – Ordinary People
John Legend is without a doubt the best person I've ever heard live. I went to one of his shows in Manchester a few years ago and his voice was simply amazing. Ordinary People was one of the first John Legend songs I heard and I haven’t stopped listening to it since – it’s one of my all-time favourite songs.
JAY Z – Numb/ Encore
I’m taking it more upbeat now. This JAY Z song is the number one song on my gym playlist (when I actually go!). It’s the perfect song to get you motivated. I was lucky enough to see JAY Z perform during the ‘Watch the Throne’ tour and he was incredible. He’s also married to Beyoncé – what a guy!
Clean Bandit – Rather Be (feat Jess Glynne)
This song reminds me of so many good times with friends and family since it came out a few years ago and that’s why I love it – simple!
Bruno Mars – Uptown Funk
(Technically Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars but it’s all about Bruno really!)
Bruno Mars is my guilty pleasure! He never fails to make feel good music that gets me up on the dancefloor or singing my heart out. Uptown Funk is such a good track – I challenge you not to want to dance when it comes on!
