Activity

Our creative design team loves a challenge and helping to promote a music festival was one we welcomed with open arms.

Manchester Jazz Festival is the longest running music festival in Manchester with over 400 musicians descending on the city each year for the 10-day event.

We created an eye-catching kaleidoscope visual and came up with the strapline ‘Sounds fantastic’ which was used across all promotional material.

An animated version of the kaleidoscope was also created for the website homepage and for use on large screens throughout the festival, including inside the main Salon Perdu venue – a real-life 1930’s Spiegeltent positioned in Manchester’s Albert Square.

Outdoor advertising was integral to the campaign and we designed billboard advertising that was featured across the city prior the festival starting and remained present throughout.

Our digital marketing team designed and built the festival website which integrated all of the visual work and animated kaleidoscope.  

We also designed a full 40-page festival guide to profile the event with the brocuhre being seen across Manchester in various cafes, bars and restaurants.  

Our design work was used across all the festival’s apparel including flyers, posters, brochures and t-shirts to promote the festival.

Results

The striking design work was used widely across all of the festival branding, both in digital and print.

The bespoke kaleidoscopic visual along with the strapline ‘Sounds fantastic’ were designed to entice people to the festival, and they did just that, with thousands of people attending the 10-day festival.

The festival went down a storm and RMS was on hand to help every step of the way.
